Among these, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, and Malachite were the very core mineral pigments used by Wang Ximeng, replicating the ancient painting's color rhythm with contemporary mineral aesthetics. Each stone is a fragment of the landscape, strung together to form a miniature embodiment of the "Azure and Green" rivers and mountains.

The deep imperial blue recreates the hazy indigo of the layered distant mountains in the painting, reminiscent of Azure-green peaks shrouded in mist, as if touching the settled mineral hues on the Song Dynasty silk.
